funeral sermons

A eulogy poem is a special form of prose written to offer comfort to the bereaved. The pain of his or her physical absence seems like it is sometimes too much to bear.

Even if you do not suffer from public speaking nerves, it would be a good idea to practice giving your eulogy in front of a family member or a friend. It need not only be a summation of the public facts, but a glimpse of the uniqueness, when combined with those facts, created a personality. There is typically little research that needs to be done.

Acknowledge the important people and achievements in his life. Your loved one is at home. Keep the tone of the eulogy personal and use simple language so that the listeners can connect more directly to your words and the memories it conveys of the deceased.

Humor is an appropriate way to celebrate life. Ultimately, the most important thing is to reflect the unique personality of the deceased.
