funeral homes

Each person develops their own personality and character as they go through life, this is what makes the person so special and unique. A eulogy poem is a special form of prose written to offer comfort to the bereaved.

Maybe you're unsure of your ability to manage your emotions as you share your memories of your loved one. You are taking the time and expressing and sharing the love that you felt for that person. Read through the funeral poem several times (out loud) before the funeral so that you feel comfortable with the words.

Rehearse your eulogy with a family member or a friend to get their feedback, so you can edit if it is necessary. They have no family minister and would prefer a celebration of the life lived rather than a sermon. Your loved one is at home.

Again remember, the service and eulogy is held to honor the deceased and celebrate life. If you find it hard to think of moving things to say, you may want to look at various sources for inspiration or short quotes to include in your speech.
